Large Journal (B5) — Cream (374 pages)
Pent up demand caused the recent batch of these larger journals to sell out quickly. If you were waiting for availability and didn't get here before they were sold, I apologize. Another batch is in the works, and I expect them to be ready around mid-January.
This is a larger version of my original Tomoe River paper blank books that were the 2013 Product of the Year on PenPaperInkLetter.com. They are made with the same materials and style as my regular-size journals. With more and larger pages, they offer more than twice the writing area of those smaller, $29 journals.
I'm including three different guidesheets to place under the page that you are writing on. Their lines will show through enough to help you keep your writing tidy. Switch between 6mm, 7mm, and 8mm spacing—or use no guidesheet at all—as your mood and chosen nib dictate.
Quantity Pricing: One for $40; two for $73.50; three for $105.
We can't stop caressing this paper! It's smooth without being glassy. Some call it "velvety". It gives a remarkable fountain pen writing experience. We have yet to see any feathering from any ink (including Noodler's Bay State Blue!). Ink lines stay crisp.
The Tomoe River paper in this book is quite light and thin (52 gsm), and, while it does allow some ghosting from the other side of a page, we've seen nearly no bleed-through, even from very wet nibs.
Shown here with our regular-size journal for comparison.
